Wonderful news for Port lovers, such as myself: on the 24th June, St John’s Day, along with the traditional Port Rabelo Boat Regatta, the Confraria do Vinho do Porto will, no doubt, proclaim Vintage 2011 as a Classic Vintage Port Year. All majors exporting houses have already declared and presented their House Classic Vintages and the quality is indeed superior. The most surprising Vintage Port was Cockburn’s, a pleasing comeback after all these years.
