ESPORÃO, 40 YEARS, DO ALENTEJO

Beautiful sunset & cellar dining event. Wrong (aussie) language choice, though.

My favourite wines of the evening:

Esporão, Private Selection, DO Alentejo, Branco, 2008. Passa de alperce, compota de ananás, gelado de nata. Complexo guloso. Arqueado com texturas elegantes, acidez exposta, melhor na mesa. Conversador e saudoso. 91

Herdade do Esporão, AB, Alicante Bouschet, IG Alentejano, Tinto, 2008. Fruta de bosque, como amora e groselha, madura e compotada. Mineral, couro e madeira peitoral. Sucroso, textura de guarda, frescura ideal alongada. 91

Esporão, Private Selection, DO Alentejo, Tinto, 2001. Terroso, fumado, alcaçuz, esteva e peitorais. Licor de frutas. Elegante, textura conversadora, muito saudoso. 95

Vinhos de 1996, Esporão, Reserva, DO Alentejo. O branco muito mais em forma do que o tinto.
