Yesterday, due to some late arrivals in Bairrada, I was obliged to taste some samples sighted, instead of blind. Meaning that I was aware of the label, producer, winemaker. What a world of difference! Please avoid all tasting notes written out of a sighted tasting. Extreme bias included. In my case, these few wines selected on The People´s Wine Guide 2014 and assessed sighted will refer to this biased procedure.
